NORTH BERKELEY RESIDENCE

This unique home needed some sprucing up to prepare it for sale. Although, I was initially engaged for a limited consultation, my contributions grew to include designing a full kitchen and master bath and advising on new doors and windows, paint and finishes. The home was already unique – it had been remodeled 20 years prior with interesting dining room and living room cabinetry and a contemporary look that meshed well with the Spanish style home.

We more gracefully joined the kitchen and dining room by removing the header between the rooms, widening the opening and designing a contemporary kitchen that fused beautifully with the existing dining and living room and all its built ins. We redesigned the master bathroom and installed taller sliding doors in the living room to access the back deck’s wonderful bay view giving the standard height ceiling a more lofty feel.
